2004 Ingomar Franklin Park Athletic Association 11-year old Williamsport Tournament Teams

The IFPAA American team, managed by Bill Brant, drew a first round bye.

The IFPAA National team, managed by Walt Frank, defeated North Braddock 9-6.

In the second round, the Americans defeated the Nationals, 2 - 1 at Blueberry Field.

The game was scoreless into the bottom of the fifth. The American team scored first on a sac fly. In the sixth, The Nationals tied the game with a triple, and after two outs, a single. In the bottom of the 6th, the Americans loaded the bases and scored the winning run on a Baltimore chop single by Joey Pane.

The losing team, the Nationals, then had to travel to Vestal Field to play South Park at 8:00 pm. The Nationals jumped out in front with a 9-run inning, and eventually beat South Park by the 10-run rule.

On July 6th, the Americans and Nationals played one another in the Losers bracket. The Nationals, managed by Walt Frank, beat the Americans, managed by Bill Brant, 5 to 3. It was a well played game with some great defense for the American's and great hitting for the National's.

Joe Manzinger hit a three run homer in the first inning to take the lead.

On July 10th, the National's played Elizabeth for the Championship of the Williamsport 11's District 4. They were defeated 3-2, eliminating them from Williamsport competition after having achieved 4 wins.
