MANAGERS

1. Requires overall knowledge, interest, experience, and commitment for the league and his team

2. Responsible for the selection of the team

3. Responsible for instruction in the fundamentals of the game

4. Responsible for the implementation of league rules regarding playing time, pitching limits, callups, etc.,

5. Responsible for the conduct and safety of the team while on the field at all times. All managers are required to refrain from smoking and the use and influence of alcoholic,beverages while,in contact with the team

6. Responsible for the selection of qualified coaches to aid the team

7. Responsible for recruiting parental aid and insuring the successful completion of the various tasks and team projects required of the team as defined below:

  1. Association and league communications. As a minimum communications responsibilities includes setting up a phone calling chain and organizing periodic parent team meetings, including one at the beginning of the practice season to define parental responsibilities, association guidelines, and team policies
  2. Field maintenance as scheduled by the commisssioner
  3. Distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment
  4. Support of association fundraising activities and projects, via support from assigned Team Mother and Team Father

8. Submits recommendations on association projects and problems to the Executive Officers and Board and provides support for project implementation

9. Promotes association and league communication among all teams within individual leagues

10. Promotes the association internally and externally among the community and other associations. It is suggested that all managers promote the association by purchasing and wearing an association shirt
